OUR EFFORTS ARE FOCUSED ON BRINGING OUR WORLD TOWARD SUSTAINABILITY
Our natural environment is a precious thing. That is why at Siliken we are dedicated to minimizing negative environmental impacts and preventing pollution from our business activities and products.
The primary responsibility Siliken has is to embed sustainability within the company's principles and practices.
Siliken was created with a philosophy to promote renewable energies with high potential such as solar photovoltaic power and wind power. We are seriously committed to the use of unlimited natural resources as a source of energy as opposed to other systems which, due to cost, shortages or environmental contamination, will be replaced by renewable energies in the future.
With this method, clean energy self-supply will be possible in the future and there will be no need to rely on third-party fossil fuel imports. This is our long-term objective: to reach a point where there is energy self-sufficiency to meet the needs of every society and where this situation is compatible with energy production at no cost to the environment.
Aware of our social responsibility, at Siliken we are committed to clean production plants and processes with minimum or zero levels of contaminating emissions, and to saving energy. As such, the majority of our plants have photovoltaic installations on their roofs which help save energy and reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
We firmly believe that in addition to the contribution a company specializing in renewable energies makes with its business, it must set an example for sustainable development in all of its tasks. Therefore, the impact we generate in each environment is always very positive.
The sale of all our products and services is later translated into new renewable energy installations which help to increase the energy self-sufficiency of each environment. Moreover, this energy is obtained in a manner which is completely innocuous for the environment.
Since April 2009, Siliken has been a member of PV Cycle, a European-wide association that aims to recycle photovoltaic modules and other equipment at the end of their useful life. As a part of PV Cycle, Siliken guides its work in this direction within a regulated community and follows a joint working line to reach the best solution that benefits all stakeholders (producers, managers, customers and society).
Continuous investment in constant quality improvements and in R&D to develop new and better products and to optimize the production process is another of our commitments.
We also collaborate in training programs with some universities and we offer the possibility for students from different schools, universities and training centers to visit our facilities.
