Corporate social responsibility

SILIKEN was created with a philosophy to promote renewable energies with high potential in our country, such as solar photovoltaic power or wind power. We are clearly committed to the use of unlimited natural resources as a source of energy, as opposed to other systems which, due to cost, shortages or environmental contamination, will be replaced by renewable energies in the future.

With this method, in the future, clean energy self-supply will be possible and there will be no need to rely on third-party fossil fuels imports.  This is our long-term objective: to reach a point where there is energy self-sufficiency to cover the needs of every society and where this situation is compatible with energy production with no associated environmental costs.

Conscious of our social responsibility, at SILIKEN are committed to clean production plants and processes, with minimum or zero levels of contaminating emissions, and to saving energy; as such, the majority of our plants have photovoltaic installations on their roofs which help save energy and reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

We firmly believe that a company specialising in renewable energies, in addition to the contribution it makes with its activities, must set a sustainable development example for sustainable development in all its tasks. The impact we generate in each environment is, therefore, always very positive.

The sale of all our products is later translated into new renewable energy installations which help to increase the energy self-sufficiency of each environment, in addition to this energy being obtained in a manner which is completely innocuous for the environment.

Continuous investment in constant quality improvements and in R&D&I to develop new and better products and to optimise the production process is another of our commitments.

We also collaborate on various different projects for raising social awareness of issues relating to renewable energy and in training programmes and practice with universities. Since 2006 we have also provided the materials and funds for an electrification project for rural schools in Nicaragua.
