Research & Development & Innovation
One of our fundamental assets is our in-house know-how generated by the people who form part of the organisation. Another very significant element is our firm commitment to Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I).
Research is currently centred on several major areas: manufacturing technologies for polysilicon, ingots, wafers, cells and modules; hydrogen technology as an energy storage system (we have developed a fuel cell, an electrolyser and a hydrogen test bench); products related to photovoltaic installations; solar trackers and photovoltaic farm monitors; power and wind energy electronics.
The spirit of innovation, change, the search for better solutions and the expansion of SILIKEN is reflected in our considerable investment in R&D&I. A young and qualified team of more than 40 researchers devotes all its efforts to improving our existing products and researching new technologies in the renewable energy field. The most common innovative actions are those relating to process and organisational innovation. Our business cooperation actions include projects relating to inverters and wind power.
Siliken has three research collaboration agreements with Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and four others with the Industrial Electronic Systems Group of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
In addition, the company is firmly committed to Research, Development and Innovation, considering these elements to be key for its development; the human and financial capital invested in this department is clear proof of this.
